Gopinath is a brand now, just like how Visu was for yesteryear's. He is authentic, well informed, handles any event with poise and elan and is the hot favorite of most TV viewers.
There is no second anywhere close to whom in terms of popularity. He is the Obvious choice for Number 1. And makes it very easily. He is the prime anchor for most events of Vijay TV and also anchors the best debate show in Tamil- Neeya Naana. He also conducts a social program called nadanthathu enna, for Vijay TV. He greets Chennai with Vankkam Chennai every morning in Radio city
Number 2
She was the joint winner along with Gopinath in 2008 , but this year though she is still popular but the gap between her and Gopinath has widened. Her Koffee with anu is very great and she also does some innovative cooking. She started the no fear program in Vijay but moved on to cooking. She comes on and off in other channels too. She is also a brand by now.
This year she shares the Number two position with elder darshini, who dominates the Tv as of now. Priyadarshini is the prime anchor for both Kalaignar and Vijay TV. She has acted in serials, won prizes in dance shows and conducts any program with great poise and charm. But probably she is getting too familiar by appearing in too many shows.
Number 3
The Younger Darshini is actually more liked by the young brigade and she too is very much a brand by now. Divyadarshini is third next to her sister only because she is stuck with Vijay TV. And she norally does just one program at a time. She is now dancing in Jodi number one for which her sister is a co anchor.
She shares the Third position with a surprise. This is a surprise for it is from Makkal TV. Of course unlike other channels Makkal TV has many anchor based programs so obviously they should be having better visibility. If you rank by considering the usage of language diction etc, most hosts and hostess of Makkal TV along with that of Vijay TV will sweep the list. However this is a popularity poll and so it was quite surprising that she came third. She is Aarthi, who conducts sol vilayatu which is quite popular mainly in North Tamilnadu.

ReplyDeleteoh its wonderful to have a new winner on this side. congrats to all the winners especially to aarthi. its a very good sign, a newcomer joining this venture. we are getting bored on seeing the same faces on our tv sets and also in this rankings. next time i expect all the top 3 to be new. then i read one comment abt sol vilayatu, we should never call this as just a game show it's an infotainment show. and the one who mentions to watch a show in makkal tv daily by 5pm, aha...ha... y these guys blabber, its just an analysing a topic thru this definitely u won't get any world wide knowledge at all.
