Immoral morality

The best thing about the Indian politicians is they joke and it takes years to understand it, especially for the present breed of anglo educated press. The latest joke is from the suffering state of AP, where a  86 year old was shown governing his bed with two more of the weaker kind , all in birthday suit or almost that. A day later he resigns, citing health reasons which becomes moral high ground for the congress. And without winking or without even bursting in to instant laughter the Channels relay this news, either they must be dumb not to understand this cruel joke or plain opportunistic.

And yet again in the tiny state of Jharkand, a self proclaimed dreaded Guruji is taking reins in spite of having a few support thanks to arithmetic. And the Kodas and Lalus also get their power seats proving that integrity is the least virtue expected from leaders, by the public. Does this public deserve democracy?

And Ruchika is the season's friend for the sensation starved media. Suddenly their virtues and morality and women's emancipation spirit increases to such an extent that except Ruchika, every other thing is woken from the grave on which they were sitting for 19 long years. Poor Rathore's only mistake was he did not take help from the present in the congress but from almost all the formers in congress and also  the opposition. Otherwise many such Rathores are still at large happily roaming near the treasury. The media surely knows it but then how do they match their earlier year TRP figures when December was hectic thanks to Kasab and company. Probably by next week you will have candles for Ruchikha, a facebook account, a blog in CNN-IBN and tears from Goswami. Aarushi's men must be laughing loud with their pants down. Who cares for now is the time for Ruchika. Aarushi has 17 more years to go.

And another great joke is from Tamilnadu where the Opposition is asking for postponement of bypoll - as if the results will change. The people of pennagaram are feeling lucky for money in bulk is soon knocking at their doors. The whole world knows what is happening but for the box friendly Easy going EC. Expect next by polls by April, how else will you keep boosting the economy and the party men, especially at times of transition.

And finally the T issue. I can raise my collar, Goswami style and proclaim that yet again I was the first to forecast the events in AP. Two mistakes make one right and exactly following this approach, a Lanco MP was made to fast and now Telegana is still born.
