Independence Special 2009

1. Sun TV
The day starts with Pushpavanam jodi and there are as usual movies, filmi specials, interviews and patimandram. At Ten is sirappu pati mandram with Salamon pappaiya as the Judge. Fim Kandaswamy special, interview with Vikram, Nakul and Devyani, Bharath and Tamanna, film Something something Unakkum Enakkum are other highlights. Fim Aaru and Anaconda are in the afternoon[ 11.00 onwards]

2. Kalaignar TV
Rajinikant's Kuselan is the special of the day. Sve sekhar starts the morning. vadivelu balences RK for a film promotion, Dhamdhoom and Pandi are the other special movies. pattimanram and Kamal's 50th year celebration are other shows.

3. Jaya TV

Films- Uyuree at 1.30[ shah rukh khan] amd muthuree[Vijay] at 5.00.
Interviews with vikram, vinay, Padmapriya, Nikhol, sonal khan, Vega and arun vijay is spread through out the day.

4. Vijay TV
  1. At 8.00 AM, actor/orator Sivakumar speaking about the greatness of the Tamil language.
  2. At 9 a.m., in ‘Sirappu Pattimandram’ with Leoni
  3. At 10 a.m., in ‘Super Hero Chiyan’, actor Vikram
  4. at 11 a.m. Neeya Naana will focus on ‘The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.’
  5. At 2 p.m., ‘Samayal Samayal’, the show, hosted by Devadarshini and Priyadarshini, has actors Shiva and Arulmani as special guests.
  6. At 3 p.m., Jackie Chan’s ‘The Myth’ will premiere in Tamil.
  7. At 6 p.m. it is ‘Desathukku Vaanga’- celebrities such as actor Surya, Iraianbu IAS, Communist MP Lingam, Shylendra Babu (IPS) and Dr. Parthasarathy will speak to viewers about the social causes they are engaged in.
  8. At 7 p.m. in ‘Adhu Idhu Edhu’, the special guests for Independence Day are actors Senthil, Pandiyarajan and Livingston.
5.Zee TV

In ‘Enadhu Pokkisham’ (9.30 p.m.) director Cheran remembers his school and college days. He also shares his experiences of working in cinema and his next project ‘Pokkisham’. In Special Mudhal Kural at 7.30 AM it is about untouchability. Vall

6. Makkal TV
  1. Celebrities such as Bharathiraja, Palani Bharathi, Kavitha Bharathi and Bharathi Baskar tell viewers why they chose to have poet Subramania Bharati’s name in theirs, in ‘Bharati Patri Bharati’ at 8.30 a.m.
  2. Veteran actress Manorama focusses on the philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi in the telefilm ‘Gandhi Kanakku’ (10.30 a.m.)
  3. ‘Naadu Adhai Naadu’, a comedy drama, tells viewers to be grateful to all those who participated in the Freedom Movement (1 p.m.)
  4. There are two game shows. While one is for the entire family — ‘Vannavanna Kolangal’ at 5 p.m. — the other is aimed at college students ‘Nool Noorka Varugirom’ at 7 p.m.
  5. In ‘Oorkolam’ (9 p.m.), a travelogue, MDMK general secretary Vaiko goes down memory lane.
  6. At 3 p.m., two telefilms —‘Veeravanakkam’ and ‘Annal’ — will be telecast.
