Top less Raj

They came, they saw and they went- Seems to be happening quite often, offflate in Raj TV. mr. Suresh iyer, CEO of Raj TV has resigned.

"I've always been an entrepreneur -- and once an entrepreneur, always an entrepreneur. For close to a decade, I was into business, and now, I think it's time for me to start something of my own again." He was the founder of New Age Entertainment, an airtime-selling organisation, which he later sold to In House Productions. he has also hinted that his new venture may be from Mumbai.

Iyer has zeroed in on a few verticals and is exploring business opportunities there. Among these are content generation, the internet space and advertising in multiplexes. "There is no dedicated internet space that caters to trade information related to South Indian films. Though so many movies release in the South, there is no media company keeping a tab on it. We want to try that out," he explains.

Talking about the other verticals that he is exploring, Iyer adds, "Also, there is no organised source of information that focuses on the programming side of television in the South. I am, therefore, trying something in this regard as well."

Ujjal Bhattacharjee, head, sales and marketing, western region. Raj TV has also left. It is not sure whether both are joining together .

Raj TV has witnessed a churn in the recent past with quite a few top executives leaving the organisation at regular intervals. Sargunan Venugopal, who had joined Raj Television Network as President - Sales and Marketing, in February 2008, left the organisation after spending a few days there. Similarly, Raju Easwaran, COO of Raj TV, quit the organisation in September 2007 after a year. Others to leave include: V Murugan, who quit the organisation as Vice-President - Sales and Marketing in May 2008, and Subramanian Iyer, who left the organisation in January 2008 as National Head - Sales and Marketing. Kalairajan left Raj in 2008 as CT, to join Polimer TV as COO.

Who is taking charge is still not declared.
