The site which first reported the death of Michael Jackson in the web is saying that the police is treating the case of Michael Jackson as Homicide. Anesthesia Propofol is considered as the primary cause of Jackson's death. The site claims that law enforcement sources say there is already "plenty of powerful evidence" linking Dr. Murray as the person who administered the drug to Jackson. The evidence includes various items found in Jackson's house, including the Propofol, an IV stand and oxygen tank.
From the vial they have identified the manufacturer and the distributor. [ Teva Pharmaceuticals and AmerisourceBergen] They are investigating their sales records to identify if any doctor who bought is linked to Michael.
Propofol is a short-acting intravenous nonbarbiturate sedative agent used for the induction of general anesthesia for adults and children, maintenance of general anesthesia, and sedationin medical contexts.
Meanwhile Two tainted lots of a generic version of a drug reportedly taken by Michael Jackson have been recalled by the drug maker.
The CDC issued a health advisory Monday, saying two lots of a generic version of the drug had tested positive for endotoxin, a contaminant. The drug maker, Teva Pharmaceuticals, voluntarily recalled the lots.
At high doses, endotoxin can absolutely cause lowered blood pressure and much more serious reactions.
A spokeswoman for Teva has said about 57,000 vials were included in the recall of the drug, and said the company had been contacted by the Drug Enforcement Administration.
ProPublica, an online news organization, first reported a possible link between Jackson's death and the drug recall on Tuesday.
However there are also contradictory news that the propofol vial found in Michael's house was diprivan brand which is made by AstraZeneca and not Tevan. Also the recall of vials by Teva is because of reported fever chills and Michael's death is because of heart failure. Teva has clarified that the bottle found in the pop star's home wasn't from one of the recalled lots. Still the sequence of events is queer.
The Authorities have said the cause of Jackson's heart failure will not be determined officially until toxicology tests are complete
