Sun TV is going to arouse ram sentiments in the state. Will it?
well from this Sunday, surprisingly it is going to telecast the epic Ramayanam at 10.30-11.30 AM.
Ramayan as a television serial has been great success both the first time and the second time[in NDTV Imagine]. In the first time it was telecast in Doordarshan [1987 to 1988] and roads all over India were deserted during its telecast. The second telecast with new cast did not bring such overwhelming response but did bring good trp's for NDTV Imagine channel.
Following are some of highlights of the present version shooting.
Size of the set in Vadodara - 35 acres
Time spent shooting every day - 14 hours
Cast and crew on the sets daily - 300 people
Crowns, swords, bows and arrows - 600
