1. The hot topic of discussion that is making rounds in the Tamil television industry is about the sudden switchover of Kana Kaanum Kalangal fame writer Brahma from Vijay TV to Sun TV as the director of their new mega soap Kalloori Kaalam. It is believed that Kalloori Kaalam has a similar storyline to Kanaa Kaalam Kalangal — the only difference being that KKK was set in a school backdrop, that deals with friendship, classroom pranks, teenage love and more, while KK is set in a college campus.
2. Kalaignar Tv is starting one more dance reality show directed by Master Kala. Attam Pattam a show with dancers of age 16-25 will compete to get the prize of Three lakhs.
3. Kushboo is in the news again. This time for walking out of the serial 'Namma Kudumbam' being shot by Kalaignar TV. The mega serial began along with the launch of the channel on September 15 and was hailed as a serial with an offbeat theme. Kushboo claims she decided to walk out because the serial was not shaping up the way she wanted it to and it was moving away completely from what they told her it would be.
Considering Kushboo is the protagonist of the show, this bit of news will be a setback to Kalaignar TV which was banking on her star value. She claims that she tried her best to put things in order but the place was in chaos. There were days when they would call her to shoot and nothing would happen on the sets. That was when she decided enough was enough and walked out.
4.Vetri vagai is a news game show in Mega TV , spread over three segments, which will test the participants’ skills in observation, memory and quick-wittedness. Screened every Saturday at 3.30 PM The winners will get attractive gifts such as mobile phones, books and gift vouchers. Hosted by Karthiga, this phone-in programme is directed by Arun Prasad.
5.Eight amazing kids got an early Christmas gift when they were selected for the Pogo Amazing Kids Awards 2007, which identifies and honours young talent. Chosen from all over the country, these kids are winners in diverse categories. The hosts of the evening, Aamir Khan and his little co-star Darsheel Safary, made the event an unforgettable experience. A great way to promote Taare... but who’s complaining?
